On order for delivery in early November 2008 is a Van Hool Alizee T9 bodied DAF SB3000 coach. This coach is currently undergoing a full refurbishment package bringing it inline with our high quality standards. This includes retrimming the interior seating and upgrading of the exterior and painting into our uniquely recognisable yellow livery prior to joining our fleet.

It is fitted with 57 full-size coach seats, seatbelts, radio/pa system, tinted windows and also has a large luggage capacity. This coach will be available for private hire and is ideal for school groups and similar. It will also be used on our expanding 'School Bus' service network from time-to-time.

With immediate effect, the 0740 hours 999 service departure from Rochdale to Bacup & Rawtenstall Grammar School at Waterfoot will depart from Stand W in Rochdale Bus Station.

Following the arrival of our first super-long 61-seat 14 metre Bova coach in spring of this year we have found that it has been tremendously popular with our customers. As a result we have acquired a second near identical coach which is fitted with 59 seats. This 2 year old coach represents a further £210,000 investment.

The Coachmasters have been awarded the contracts by Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) to operate additional school bus services in Rochdale and Bury for the forthcoming school year. Schools Services benefitting from the introduction f our bright yellow buses are as follows:

We regret that due to the increased cost of fuel, revised fares will be in operation from the start of the new school term. Please check the'School Run' section of this website to find out our new charges. Basic prices from Rochdale area to BRGS have increased to £3.00 return or £2.00 single (replacing the £2.50 / £1.70 fares).

We have not increased the fare charges since we commenced operating the 998 & 999 services to BRGS some years ago.

From 7th January 2008 we regret that we are no longer able to offer the Weekly Ticket on service 999 to BRGS.

This as result of two factors, firstly, the recent huge increases in fuel costs mean that we are unable to make the reduced cost viable. Secondly, we have been finding frequent abuse of the weekly tickets by the students including fraudulent usage by a small minority.

Single and Day Return tickets will continue to be available on both services. Prices will remain unchanged at the moment but are likely to rise in due course in line with increases already implemented by other bus companies.

We kindly ask that pupils tender the correct fare as only a limited amount of change is carried onboard, this ensures that the bus keeps to time reducing the delay at each stop and subsequently gets to school promptly. We appologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

In keeping with our intention to specialise in providing luxury high-capacity coaches, we have further invested by purchasing an executive 'Jonckheere Monaco' double deck coach.

This coach features 68 full sized reclining seats with seatbelts, toilet/washroom, drinks machine, fridge, tinted windows, climate control with Air-Conditioning and it has a large luggage compartment.

We are proud to announce the addition of a Bova Futura Magnum coach costing over £200,000 which has joined our fleet for spring 2007. This is one of only a very small number of extra-length coaches to be found in the UK. It has an overall length of over 46ft or 14 metres. It is has full executive specification including 61 full-size adult reclining seats with seat-belts unlike most other high capacity coaches in Britain which have smaller 'child' size seating and poor leg room. Other facilities include toilet, seat back tables, foot rests, DVD with 2 monitors, CD/Radio/PA system, tinted windows, hot drinks machine, fridge and full climate control with AIR CONDITIONING! It also has a huge underfloor luggage compartment capable of carrying excessive amounts of luggage which even includes a ski locker. A truly amazing vehicle!

For those who are interested, it is fitted with a huge and powerful DAF 12.6 litre engine which gives 430 BHP through an 8-speed gearbox. This complies to EURO 3 regulations which governs that new coaches achieve the low emissions levels now required.
